FAQ

Feel free to contact us directly if we haven’t answered your question here.

How does this website work?
This site manages the complete transaction from browsing the collection, making your selections, completing your purchase, and downloading your cartoons. When you purchase a James Mojonnier Editorial Cartoon, you pay securely with a credit card through PayPal.

How do I get the cartoons I’ve purchased?
After making your purchase, you will be returned (from PayPal) to the James Mojonnier site, where you’ll be provided with a link to download the corresponding file. Additionally, you’ll be sent email confirmation of your purchase that also contains a link to download a file.

Is my credit card information kept safe?
Absolutely. PayPal handles all your credit card information, where it is securely processed.

What file format do you provide?
The downloadable files are print-ready, high resolution (600 dpi) TIFF files, in bitmap color mode (black and white).

Why do all the cartoons have watermarked signatures on them?
We put the watermarks on the cartoons to keep them from being used inappropriately (i.e. stolen). The purchased versions of the cartoons have no watermark on them.

What if I just want to use your cartoons on my website, or for some other screen-only use?
Un-watermarked screen-resolution cartoons will be available for purchase soon.

Why do I have to designate my publication type when purchasing a cartoon?
Not-for-profit organizations (political parties, 527s or similar group, for example) and educational institutions are granted more affordable access to the cartoons. Any for-profit newspaper or magazine should choose “Commercial” for your publication type.

How often are new cartoons available?
New cartoons are made available every Monday, by noon. If you register for the site, you’ll get a free weekly e-newsletter, featuring the latest two cartoons to be added to the site.
